Paramount has grown over the last 90 years and sprawls out over an area comparable to the one occupied by Disneyland.  Over 5,000 people may be employed by Paramount Studio’s at any given time.  If you have ever noticed the huge water tower on the lot with the paramount logo, that is left over from an earlier era when the studio actually utilized it’s on fire department and hospital there at the studio.

Initially Paramount Studios offered viewers a glimpse of what was to come with the production of silent films such as “The Sheik” staring heartthrob Rudolph Valentino just years after opening in 1921.  Hollywood starlets Mae West and W.C. Fields found stardom on Paramount Studio’s sets and today some of televisions top rated shows, such as Frasier are filmed there.
